Vacances scolaires 2017 en Vendée

Pendant les vacances scolaires aux Pays-Bas, notre famille nous à visitée la semaine dernière. L’âge variait de 2 à presque 80. C’était un temps magnifique, donc nous avons fait beaucoup de choses. Le thème de la semaine était l’éléphant. Nous avons été deux fois avec les petits à une aire de jeux couverte à Challans (20 km). Aussi une journée à Planet Sauvage (30 km); un parc animalier magnifiquement spacieux avec entre autre des éléphants. Une journée à la côte à Noirmoutier; nous avons aimé jouer sur la plage, nous avons pêché et nous avons grimpé des rochers. Grand-père Hans voulait aller à Nantes pour une journée et tout le monde pensait que c’était une bonne idée. Bien sûr, nous avons vu l’éléphant, nous sommes allées dans la grande carrousel et nous  avons visité le château. Nantes ne déçoit jamais comme ville. Vendredi nous avons eu un peu d’excitation sur le Passage du Gois, une voiture s’est coincée dans la matinée. School holidays 2017 in France

Last week during the school holidays in the Netherlands our family visited us. The age ranged from just 2 to almost 80. It was gorgeous weather, so we did a lot of fun things. The theme of the week was elephant. We have been twice with the little ones to an indoor playground in Challans (20 km). Also a day to Planet Sauvage (30 km); a beautiful and spacious animal park with a.o. elephants. A day to the coast at Noirmoutier island; we enjoyed playing on the beach, we fished and we climbed some rocks. Grandpa Hans wanted to go to Nantes for a day and everyone thought that was a good idea. Of course, we saw the elephant, we sat in the big carousal and visited the castle. Nantes never disappoints for a visit. On Friday we had some excitement  on the Passage du Gois, a car got stuck in the morning. The start of the Tour de France 2018 in the Vendée

The circuit of the Tour de France 2018 is known! The Tour starts close to us on the island of Noirmoutier in the Vendée. Unfortunately, the course does not go over the Passage du Gois this year and thus does not pas in front of our house. The Tour starts a week later than usual, something to do with a soccer tournament in Russia (which we Dutch do not understand at all😉), which made that the Tour the France will no longer go over the Passage du Gois because of the tide. But it will be a beautiful stage along the coast. Also the team presentations and a team time trial will be held very close to us. We are really looking forward to it. And you?
